I’ve always been drawn to first principles - to the deeper why behind success - never accepting that human potential has limits.
For over two decades, my life revolved around elite sport. Chasing peak performance with relentless drive.
I lived in a constant state of output, pushing through pain, pressure, and exhaustion, believing that more effort was always the answer. Whilst I thrived under pressure and loved going to the edge.
I sensed there was more to the puzzle. I became fascinated with how breath, recovery, psychology, and presence could influence performance; The more I practiced the better I performed.
My pursuit of the next level brought moments of glory - championships, flow states, breakthroughs - but my insatiable drive became a double-edged sword.
The harder I pushed, unable to slow down long enough, my body and mind began pushing back. Then it all caught up with me:
Multiple joint surgeries
Three brain injuries
Burnout and hospitalisation
I lost my routines, my identity, and my sense of self. More than once, I had to rebuild from the ground up - from bones, to breath, to brain.
Instead of quitting, I chose to see each challenge as an opportunity, to practice resilience, equanimity and to use pain as a teacher rather than something to fear.
In the ‘dark moments’, I realised I couldn’t “just push harder” to get my way out. I needed to stop, listen, and rebuild from the inside out.
I immersed myself in breath science, Vipassana meditation, Biomechanics, Psychology, Neurobiology, Eastern medicine, and Holistic Strength & Conditioning
Not just as a practitioner and coach but as someone seeking to reclaim a life of vitality, clarity, presence and answer the deeper questions of who I am and what my purpose in life is.
I discovered a truth:

Ben holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is an advanced ASCA accredited Strength and Conditioning Coach, Stress Resilience, Mindset & Injury rehabilitation specialist, with over a decade of practical experience.
His expertise spans performance psychology, biomechanics, respiratory physiology, holistic health, vipassana meditation, and yoga.
